1. Scope and operator
This policy explains how the provider of PetCloset (the “operator”) handles information in the iOS app, official website, and contact channel. Statutory operator details are disclosed individually without delay before a purchase decision when requested. See the Commercial Disclosure.
2. Information we handle
Account and pet profiles
We may handle an email address, authentication identifiers, profile settings, and pet details such as name, species, birthday, sex, and photo.
Content and purchases
We may handle uploaded photos and short videos, generated Kurutto work, stickers, journal entries, item details, processing status, App Store product and transaction information, purchase and refund status, subscription expiration, and remaining consumable credits.
Device, app usage, diagnostics, website, contact, and security data
We may handle app version, OS, device and notification identifiers, App Check verification information, and security logs. Firebase Analytics receives low-cardinality events such as screen names, selected feature type, success or failure of creating, saving, sharing, or purchasing, counts, and categorized failure reasons. Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash stack traces, relevant app state, device model, OS and app version, anonymous installation and session identifiers, and sanitized non-fatal error categories.
On the official website, Google Analytics may handle page URLs, visit times, referrers, browser and device information, and online identifiers such as cookies. Website delivery and protection may also involve IP addresses and request data. When the contact form is opened from the app, OS, app version, and model may be attached; from a browser, we infer only OS and device type available in the User-Agent and do not collect a device-unique identifier for this purpose.
3. Purposes
We use information to authenticate accounts; display, sync, process, and restore work; provide and reconcile purchases; send necessary service notices; aggregate app usage, improve features and usability, investigate crashes and defects; measure and improve the official website; prevent abuse; answer requests; and meet legal obligations.
4. Photos, videos, permissions, and location
Content is sent to PetCloset servers when needed for display, syncing, retry recovery, or processing. Temporary upload-recovery and background-removal files are deleted when their purpose is complete. Camera, Photos, notifications, and location are used only for the relevant feature after permission is granted. When weather is added to a memory, approximate coordinates may be sent to Apple WeatherKit, but latitude and longitude are not stored by PetCloset.
5. Image processing and machine learning
Background refinement may use on-device image processing or a machine-learning model managed on PetCloset servers. We do not send user photos or videos to third-party generative AI services, and we do not use them to train AI models.
6. Service providers and sharing
We use Apple services for app distribution, purchases, notifications, weather, and app attestation; RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement synchronization; ConoHa WING for the app API and storage; Google Firebase App Check for request verification, Firebase Analytics for aggregate app usage, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash and sanitized non-fatal error diagnosis; Google Analytics for official website measurement; Cloudflare for website delivery, contact handling, Turnstile, D1, R2, and abuse prevention; and Slack for support notifications. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as necessary to operate the service or when required by law.
7. Advertising tracking and analytics
PetCloset contains no advertising. We do not link information collected from the app with third-party app or website data for advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers. In iOS app version 1.0.0 (6), Firebase Analytics aggregates feature usage and outcomes, while Firebase Crashlytics investigates crashes and sanitized non-fatal errors. Our custom events and error reports do not include names, email addresses, PetCloset account identifiers, pet names, photos, videos, or note text. Firebase may handle anonymous installation and session identifiers, device, OS and app information, and relevant crash state.
Firebase Analytics is integrated without IDFA collection capability. Ad personalization, ad network registration, and on-device advertising conversion measurement are disabled. Firebase App Check verifies requests from genuine app instances for security and is not used for advertising tracking.
Google Analytics on the official website is used only to understand and improve website use. It is not configured to receive PetCloset app account identifiers, photos, videos, records, or purchase information. We do not link website analytics to app accounts or use it for personalized advertising.
8. Retention and deletion
Work is not deleted only because of its creation date, regardless of whether it was created through a free or paid feature. You may delete work or your account in the app. Account deletion removes content and unlinks device and notification information; purchase records may be retained where legally or operationally required after being separated from user and device associations. Firebase Analytics data is retained under the Google Analytics property settings. Under Google’s published policy, Firebase Crashlytics begins deleting crash information and related identifiers after a standard 90-day retention period. Contact requests and attachments are normally deleted after 180 days.
9. Your requests
You may request access, correction, restriction, or deletion of applicable information through the contact form. We may verify identity and respond within the limits of applicable law.
10. Security, changes, and contact
We use encryption, authentication, validation, access controls, and monitoring appropriate to the information handled. We may update this policy when the service or law changes and will make material changes clear. For privacy questions, use the contact form.
